The University of Jordan is ranked among the top universities in various fields globally, with QS, Times, and Shanghai rankings, and holds international accreditations for 55 programs across 11 schools.​ 

UJ is among the Top 50 globally in Library and Information Science, the Top 100 in Nursing, Hospitality & Leisure Management, and the Top 150 in Pharmacy & Pharmacology and Computer Science & Information Systems. It ranks in the Top 250 for Mathematics and Civil & Structural Engineering, and in the Top 300 for Medicine, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Accounting & Finance, Business & Management Studies, Education, Linguistics, and English Language & Literature. UJ is also within the Top 350 for Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering and the Top 500 for Chemistry. Additionally, it ranks within the Top 600 for Economics & Econometrics and Biological Sciences. 

Notably, UJ stands among the top 800 universities globally as the only Jordanian institution listed in the Shanghai ranking, According to the Rankings, UJ ranked (201–300) in Dentistry and Nursing, (301–400) in Mathematics, and (401–500) in Education.

In terms of international accreditations, 11 of our 19th schools are internationally accredited with a total of 55 accredited programs. Specifically, UJ is accredited in:

-The School of Medicine is accredited by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME)

- The School of Dentistry is accredited by both the Association for Dental Education in Europe and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (ADEE)

- The School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)

- The school of Nursing is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)

- The school of Rehabilitation Science is accredited by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT)

- The School of Engineering, the School of Information Technology, the School of Agriculture, and the School of Science are all accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

- The School of Foreign Languages is accredited by the evaluation agency of Baden-Wurttemberg (EVALAG)

- The School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) ​
