For students wishing to study at the University of Jordan for one semester, UJ special study program is an experience that promises to be both enriching and transformative. Students will not only advance their academic goals but also gain a deeper understanding of Jordanian culture and traditions, fostering a global perspective that will be invaluable in their future endeavours. Whether participating in lectures, engaging with local students, or exploring the historic cities of Jordan, a semester at the University of Jordan will be a memorable and rewarding journey. International students can register at UJ for one semester or more under the following categories:

  1. International students studying in universities or higher education institutes inside or outside Jordan who wish to study some courses at UJ for one semester or more. 
  2. Students from universities that have student exchange agreements (See List )​ with UJ, (exchange).

A​dmission Requirements:

  1. Must have a general secondary education certificate or its equivalent if applying to study courses at the Bachelor's level .
  2. Must have a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent if applying to study courses at the master's level .
  3. Must have a Master's degree or its equivalent if applying to study courses at the Ph.D level.
  4. Must have completed the prerequisites for the courses they wish to register for.

Required Documents:

  1. Copy of the passport.
  2. Transcript of the General Secondary Education Certificate or its equivalent, or the transcript of the Bachelor's or Master's degree or its equivalent, if not enrolled in a university or higher institute, and wishes to count it for academic degree purposes.
  3. Proof of enrollment in a university or higher education institute other than UJ (if the student is enrolled in a university or institute at the university level).

 

  General Notes:

  1. Students who meet the above admission requirements will receive an official transcript at the end of the semester, proving their study of these accredited hours after paying the transcript fee.
  2. Students enrolled in the free special study are subject to the attendance, exams, grading, and disciplinary rules and regulations outlined in the university's systems and instructions.
  3. Free special study students benefit from all available university services and facilities and are provided with a special university ID for this purpose.
  4. The maximum workload in a regular semester for Special Study students is as follows: (18) accredited hours if the courses are at the bachelor's level, (9) accredited hours if the courses are at the master's or doctoral levels.
  5. The tuition fees per credit hour for free special study students are the same as the fees for international program students (click here).​
