Some nationalities require a student visa to enter Jordan, including citizens from countries that need prior approval, che ck here .
To obtain th e visa, follow these steps:
- Obtain acceptance into the desired program and register by paying the fees for the student identification document through the Admission and Registration Unit, either in person or via email at ipmd@ju.edu.jo / regju@ju.edu.jo .
- Send proof of student status and a copy of the passport electronically to the email address foreign.st@ju.edu.jo.
- Within 21 days, the International Student Office at the University of Jordan sends a letter of entry permission to the student via email.
- After entering Jordan and receiving the entry stamp on the passport, the student sends a copy of the passport, entry stamp, and student proof again to the email address foreign.st@ju.edu.jo .
- Within 21 days, the International Student Office sends the approval letter for annual residency via email.
- Upon receiving the residency approval letter, the student visits the nearest security center to their residence to complete residency procedures.
For residency renewal (annually):
· For bachelor's degree holders, visit the nearest security center a month before the residency expires and renew directly.
· For graduate students, contact the International Student Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs.
· Customs exemption:
· A benefit for non-Jordanian students with non-Jordanian high school diplomas enables them to import their cars duty-free by sending proof of student status, a copy of the passport, and residency to the email address foreign.st@ju.edu.jo , where the exemption is sent within two working days.
