Specialization and University Fees 

Step 1: General Guidelines, Dates & Required Documents:

To enroll at the University of Jordan, you need to meet the minimum required GPA for the General Secondary Education Certificate, as follows:

  1. For Medicine and Dentistry, the required GPA is 80%.
  2. For Pharmacy and Engineering, the required GPA is 70%.
  3. For Sharia, the required GPA is 65%.
  4. For Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing, and Rehabilitation Sciences, the required GPA is 60%.
  5. For other schools, the required GPA is 55%.

The registration for international students is available throughout the academic year, except for the schools of medicine and dentistry, where registration follows the academic calendar, which normally starts in October.

 
 
​​Required documents
To start the admission process, you first need:
 

1.  A copy of the passport, certified by the issuing authority, and proof of Palestinian nationality for the Palestinian students (who do not hold a temporary Jordanian passport or Palestinian passport).
2. Three passport-sized photos.
3. General Secondary Certificate:
 

3.1 For international students who hold a Jordanian high school certificate (i.e. Tawjehi), you need to provide your Transcript certified from the Jordanian Ministry of Education.

3.2 For International students with a Saudi certificate, you need to get an equivalence from the Ministry of Education in Jordan.

3.3. For international students holding Arabic certificates, you need to have your certificate certified by the Ministry of Education in Jordan.

3.4. For international students holding an international certificate from Jordan (e.g. I.B., SAT, G.C.E., etc.​.), you need to start the equivalency process at the Jordanian Ministry of education (click here).  

3.5. For international students holding an international certificate (e.g. I.B., SAT, G.C.E., etc.​.),​​ from Arab countries,  you need to start the equivalency process at the Jordanian  Ministry of education (click here) or at the Ministry of education in your country showing the average and the branch for Arab secondary certificates. Afterward, you need to certify this equivalency from the Jordanian Ministry of education.

3.6.  For international students holding an international certificate (e.g. I.B., SAT, G.C.E., etc..), from non-Arab countries, you need to start the equivalency process at the Jordanian Ministry of education​ (click here).


 

(Important note: If a student is unable to provide the university with the equivalency of the certificate before arriving to Jordan, they can do this process during the first semester).

Step 2: How to Apply

Here are the steps to register at the University of Jordan via the provided link:

1.  Access the Registration Page:

 Click on or copy the link: https://studyinjordan.jo/isaapp/ISAStuRegistrationEn.aspx​

 This will direct you to the "Student Registration" page of the Study in Jordan portal.

2. Create a New Account:

  On the registration page, look for the option to create a new account. This may be a button labeled "Register" or "Create Account."

3. Verification:

 You may be required to verify your email address. Check your email for a verification link and click on it to verify your account.

   Follow any additional verification steps if prompted.

4. Fill in Personal Information:

  Enter your personal details such as your full name, date of birth, nationality, and other required personal information.

   Ensure that all information is accurate and matches your official documents.

5. Contact Information:

  Provide your contact details including email address, phone number, and physical address.

 Double-check your email address as it will be used for important communications.

6. Academic Information:

  nput your previous academic qualifications and the programs you are interested in.  “You must ensure that you select the University of Jordan under the public universities option.

7. Submit the Application:

  Review all the information you have entered to ensure it is accurate and complete ​​ Submit your application.

8. Pay Application Fees:

  Follow the instructions for paying any required application fees. Payment methods may include credit card, bank transfer, or other specified methods.

9. Confirmation:

After submission and payment, you should receive a confirmation email with details about the next steps.

Step 3: Visa and Residency

In most cases your visa will be issued at the airport upon your arrival to Jordan which costs around 55 US dollars. However if you hold a foreign nationality from a restricted countries (see list), to issue a study visa, you have to send the following information before arriving to Jordan to the Foreign Students Affairs Office  at The Deanship of Student Affairs at  UJ  foreign.st@ju.edu.jo.  Afterwards the office will provide you with the initial visa acceptance within 20-30 working days. 

Required information:

  1. Proof of student status in Arabic for the current semester.
  2. The first page of the passport (passport validity must not be less than 6 months).
  3. Authorized mobile number.
  4. Mother's name.

 

Upon entering Jordan, students are also required to visit the Foreign  Students Affairs Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs in order to apply for residency.

 

Pre-Arrival Information: 

University housing:

For female students, the university provides supervised boarding housing in two main dorms located within its campus: Jerash and Ammon (see here link). Both dorms provide single, double, and triple rooms. All rooms are furnished and have a small kitchen. Nevertheless, if you wish to live outside the main campus, many residential apartments are available all around the university campus. Health Insurance:

All UJ students are medically insured once accepted. In the case that you need medical assistance, specialized treatment can be provided both at the student clinic which is located next to the deanship of student affairs or at the University of Jordan Hospital which is also located within the Campus.
